Nella lingua inglese ci sono due diversi modi di dire "Presto": EARLY e SOON. Vediamo quando usare l'uno e quando invece usare l'altro.
EARLY si usa per intendere "in anticipo, di buon ora, prima dell’ora prevista". Vediamo qualche frase di esempio:
I don’t like getting up early in the morning.
Non mi piace alzarmi presto (di buon ora) al mattino
I’ll see you early next week
Ci vediamo all’inizio della prossima settimana.
SOON invece si utilizza per voler intendere "fra poco, entro breve tempo":
Must you leave so soon?
Devi partire così a breve (così presto)?
See you soon
Ci vediamo presto (tra breve tempo).
